Fraser

Fraser is located approximately 2 miles North of Winter Park (5 miles from Winter Park Resort) on Highway 40. Here, the beloved Fraser River Trail connects Fraser and Winter Park with both paved and unpaved portions that parallel Highway 40. This is a favorite among locals and visitors for biking, running, wildlife viewing, fishing and dog walking. The Fraser River meanders along side much of the trail and in the past, served as fishing grounds for President Eisenhower. Fraser is the proud home of a new recreation center located on Highway 40 just North of Winter Park. Fraser also has fun for the family with stocked fishing ponds, campgrounds, miles of hiking/biking/cross country skiing trails, tubing hills, dog sledding, hot air balloon rides, and the High Country Stampede Rodeo that has rodeos every Saturday night in the summer. Also conveniently located in town are the Safeway grocery store and Amtrak station.
